MYBA Travel Baseball – 2027 Season

Thank you for your interest in MYBA Travel Baseball. MYBA offers travel baseball opportunities for ages 8U through 14U.

Travel teams provide players the opportunity to develop their skills, compete in games and tournaments, and represent Morton Yough Baseball throughout the season.

To be eligible for MYBA Travel Baseball, players must meet at least one of the following:

-           Player lives in Morton or District 709

-           Player attends a Morton School

-           Player lives within Morton Park District boundaries

Please contact the Morton Park District to verify eligibility if needed.

MYBA offers both Red and Gray teams at each age level, depending on player interest, coaching availability, and roster needs. Red teams typically have a heavier schedule, while Gray teams are intended to provide a lighter travel commitment. While these are the general guidelines, each head coach is responsible for setting expectations, building the schedule, and registering the team for tournaments. Because of this, the level of commitment may vary by team and age group.

Season Overview

Indoor practices begin in January for most age groups, with outdoor practices beginning once fields are available in the spring. Games and tournaments generally begin in late March or early April, and the season typically ends around early July.

Registration fees generally include two team jerseys and a hat, along with indoor cage access for eligible age groups. Additional equipment and optional team items may be the responsibility of each family.

Tryouts are held in late July. Players are evaluated on age -appropriate baseball skills, and teams are selected based on evaluations, roster needs, and overall team fit.
